The best twenty minutes of a real tree happen before the stand is level, when the house still smells like the lot it came from. Balsam + Cedar holds that still — Fraser fir, balsam and cedar, with nothing sweet over the top.
One of our non toxic candles, hand poured in the Signature Kraft jar with 60+ hours in it. A cabin, a bathroom shelf, a January that still smells like December: this is the one.
Why You'll Love It

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does Balsam + Cedar smell like?
A: Balsam + Cedar smells like a fresh-cut Fraser fir with balsam softening it and dry cedar underneath. There is no vanilla, no cinnamon and no sugar in it, so it stays green.
Q: Is Balsam + Cedar only a Christmas scent or can it burn all year?
A: Fir and cedar are woodland scents rather than holiday ones, so this jar makes as much sense in June. Most people keep it going long after the decorations come down.
Q: What is the difference between a fir candle and a pine candle?
A: Fraser fir is rounder and slightly sweeter than pine, which runs sharper and more resinous. This one leads on fir, so it smells like a tree in a living room, not a forest floor.
Q: Is a fir scented candle safe to burn around cats?
A: Keep the room ventilated and the flame out of jumping range, which matters more with cats than any other pet. Soy wax and a cotton wick mean no petroleum soot in the air either way.
Q: What is a good Christmas gift for a man who says he wants nothing?
A: A woodsy candle is one of the few December gifts men reliably use, because it asks nothing of them and smells like outdoors. Fir and cedar is the least floral scent on the list.
Q: Do I really need to trim the wick every single time?
A: Trim the wick to 1/4" before every light and the flame stays small, steady and free of soot. An untrimmed wick mushrooms and marks the inside of the glass.
