Handloomed Alpaca Bouclé Throw Blanket | Graphite | Made in Peru

This exquisite alpaca bouclé throw is a true expression of artisanal mastery and modern luxury. Handwoven on traditional wooden looms in Peru by master weavers whose skills have been passed down through generations, each piece embodies the artistry, patience, and precision of authentic Andean craftsmanship.

Creating bouclé is an intricate process that requires both technique and intuition. Artisans first handcraft the bouclé yarn, forming delicate loops that create the fabric’s signature textured surface. Once the yarn is ready, it is carefully woven into the warp and weft, with weavers manually adjusting the loom’s tension and tying fibers to preserve the yarn’s soft, dimensional texture. Each section is woven with remarkable care, ensuring both evenness and organic character — the hallmarks of true handwoven artistry.

The result is a luxuriously soft, tactile throw that combines visual depth with timeless sophistication. Made from a refined blend of 89% pure graphite alpaca and 11% recycled polyamide, it reflects a commitment to sustainable luxury — ethically made, irresistibly soft, and enduringly elegant. Each throw is beautifully finished with hand-knotted fringe, a final touch that celebrates the artistry and heritage of our weavers.

At Purple Nest Design, we are deeply committed to preserving the weaving arts, helping you to decorate your home with timeless textiles that tell a beautiful story.

The color is a lovely graphite.
