Handloomed in the Andean highlands of Peru, the Wasi Collection embodies the timeless beauty of heritage weaving and the unparalleled softness of pure baby alpaca. Each throw is meticulously woven on traditional wooden looms by master artisans whose skill and precision are rooted in generations of Andean craftsmanship.
Made from 100% undyed Ivory Mist baby alpaca — one of the softest and most luxurious natural fibers in the world — these throws offer exceptional warmth, lightness, and breathability. Baby alpaca fibers are collected from the finest, ultra-soft fleece closest to the alpaca’s skin, prized for their silky texture and superior quality.
The alpaca’s natural hues are carefully hand-sorted and woven into eco-friendly, all-natural shades that celebrate the fiber’s organic beauty. Each fringe is delicately hand-tied, a finishing touch that reflects the weaver’s artistry and attention to detail.
Exquisitely soft, feather-light, and sustainably made, the Wasi Ivory Mist throw drapes gracefully over a bed or sofa, offering a perfect balance of comfort and sophistication. A refined layer for every season, it brings modern elegance and heirloom craftsmanship into harmony — a true expression of luxury rooted in tradition.
At Purple Nest Design, we are deeply committed to preserving the weaving arts, helping you to decorate your home with timeless textiles that tell a beautiful story.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who makes this?
Handloomed on traditional wooden looms by master weavers in the highlands of Peru.
Is alpaca itchy?
No. Alpaca has no lanolin and a smoother fiber than wool, so most people who find wool scratchy find alpaca soft.
How is alpaca different from wool or cashmere?
Alpaca is warmer than wool for its weight, yet light and breathable thanks to its hollow fiber, so it works year-round. It is also stronger than cashmere: cashmere is soft but delicate, while alpaca gives you softness that lasts for years with simple care.
